Innisbrook Golf Engagement Session – Desiree & Mike

Earlier this week I shared with you what has quickly become one of my favorite engagement session images.  The lighting, the emotion, the blanket…Ahhh, I had this vision in my head days before the session and and it was a joy to bring it to life. The blanket wasn’t the only fun prop on Desiree and Mike’s Innisbrook golf course engagement session adventure.  With these two being avid golfers, it was easy to bring along some clubs and golf balls to play around with.

Desiree and Mike were dressed to perfection, especially Desiree’s patent black Louboutin heels.  Can we say, Yes Please?!  As we drove around, hitting one fabulous spot after another,  I asked Mike how the proposal went down.  They were vising family and unfortunately, Mike was very, very ill.  Not the most desired way to start a proposal I’m sure.  As they hiked through the mountains they came to a trail crossing that Mike had previously picked out as the perfect spot.  Once they arrive he hears a strange noise…..it turns out to be a rattle snake!!!!  Time to cut losses and move on to the next spot.  Mike was determined that no illness or nature creature was going to stop him.  By the end of the day, Mike got down on one knee and asked Desiree to be his life long love.

What a crazy, fun, romantic story for Desiree and Mike to begin this incredible journey of marriage.  Of course, mother nature decided to add to this journal of crazy stories by letting us get a good glimpse of a gator sunbathing right next to the perfect oak of where I wanted shoot at next.  Thankfully the gator didn’t see us and crawled back into the water.  So, we decided to go near the oak, but not necessarily right next to it.  Whew.  It was a biiiig gator.

Desiree and Mike,

You both truly were naturals with me on Sunday.  Desiree you mentioned you were nervous but you certainly didn’t let it show.  All I could see is the love you have for Mike…and his overly photogenic face.  Thank you for all the laughs, swings, golf cart adventures and nuzzling you guys created together.  If we had this much fun on your engagement session, I can’t wait to see the fun on your wedding day!

Shout out to Rick at Innisbrook Golf Resort and The Pretty Pioneer for helping create such a magical session!
