6 Months ago, Lisa and Kit said I do in Chicago. 6 Months ago, on Lisa and Kit’s wedding day, Chicago decided to have record breaking rainfall. Ultimately, this lead to zero outdoor portraits. Pretty much every portrait was done at the reception in front of their really pretty head table. While the images are good, they certainly are not what Lisa envisioned her wedding images would be.
While planning a vacation to Clearwater Beach, Florida, Lisa took matters into her own hands of getting the images she dreamed of. And these would be even better because, well, let’s face it. Clearwater Beach is pretty amazing. Once I heard Lisa’s story and she asked if I was available, I made sure to block out a date. I mean, let’s think about this. An opportunity to photograph a bride and groom all dressed up without the timeline of a wedding day? Yes please! (and thank you!) As fantastic as that is, what made this session really close to my heart is I know what it’s like to not have the wedding photos you dream of. Being able to deliver a dream come true for Lisa and Kit is exactly why I pursued photography as a career.
Lisa and Kit,
Thank you for braving the ‘breeze’, rockin out your gorgeous wedding dress and trusting me to capture the bliss of being a newly wed. I had a ton of fun with you both and can’t wait for you to come back to Clearwater Beach for a maternity session! (wink, wink!)
