During my initial conversation with Leila, she told me that they were getting married at the Hyatt Resort on Clearwater Beach. She talked about how they were having a morning ceremony on the Sky Terrace followed by a lunch reception. Immediately upon hearing this, I could envision a ceremony taking place on the 16th floor with this deep blue sky as a backdrop. Let me tell you friends, the weather did not disappoint! Personally, I believe the view on top of this terrace is best in the morning.
Between the ceremony starting at 10 am and everything done by 2:30 pm, well let’s just say the early morning was going to provide the best light to complete Leila and John’s bridal portraits. You all know how much I love First Looks and I’m so grateful Leila and John opted in for this beneficial experience. We were able to complete all of their bridal portraits following their First Look in even morning light, low traffic on the beach and when Leila’s hair and make up was at it’s best. (Thanks to Michele Renee The Studio!)
Now that our portrait session is complete, it’s time to head upstairs for their Sky Terrace ceremony. While Leila and John waited over a decade to get married, they certainly didn’t waste any time getting married! After a short and sweet ceremony, we completed all of the family and wedding party formals (including extra’s!) with time to spare! Having everything well planned out allowed Leila and John to enjoy a few minutes to themselves before their reception began. Now who wouldn’t love that on their wedding day!?!
Leila and John,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for saying yes to stepping in front of my camera! You both have been a dream to work with. Just like your engagement session, I pray you love your wedding day images as much as I do! I would wish you all the best but frankly you guys are already the best! Here’s to many more decades of life, love, happiness, health and growing a family when the timing is right. For now, continue to enjoy just the two of you in this newly wed stage of your lives!
