Like most weddings, details and plans change as you get closer to the wedding date. This was no exception for Tulika and Rohit’s destination wedding at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor. About 2 weeks before the wedding, Tulika calls to let me know there have been some major changes. No problem I tell her! We discussed the changes and I updated her photography timeline.
The week of the wedding, I receive another call from Tulika letting me know there has been one more change. “Okay” I tell her, “what’s up?” She responds with “Well, we’ve been watching the weather and have decided to move the ceremony indoors.” I paused for a moment. Typically when one of my brides moves her ceremony indoors it’s due to rain chances. “Okay” I say again, “may I ask why?”. She goes on to tell me about how hot it’s going to be and she didn’t want her guests to get all sweaty.
You see, Tulika and Rohit are from Portland, where 4 pm is not the hottest part of the day. This is not the case for Florida. Also, Florida has decided it doesn’t want to participate in fall (or at least so it seems) so on October 20, 2018 we were going to be near records high for the 2nd week in a row. Thank you Tulika and Rohit for making this major change! I’m sure all of your guests (and other vendors) thank you too!
This one act of Tulika and Rohit goes to show how much they truly love and care for their guests. I mean, this is not just a destination wedding for the Bride and Groom. You had family and friends from all over the globe come to celebrate with these two. That goes to show a lot about how much the family and friends love and care for Tulika and Rohit too. This evidence of love carried through in every aspect of the wedding weekend and it was such a joy to not only be around but to capture as well.
Tulika and Rohit,
Thank you for showing your guests all the love for me to capture on such an important day in your life. It’s been a blessing to get to know you both as you rocked your way through your Sangeet portrait session before the festivities began. Everyone was so kind and helpful and truly made your event a success! Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness as you begin your life together!
